Direct comparison with Xiaomi Airodots 2
Xiaomi Bluetooth headset AirDots 2 (Same as Value Edition) unboxing review conclusion, Excellent value for money
Price ★★★★☆ Excellent ($20)
Appearance ★★★☆ Great
Waterproof ★★★★ Good
Convenience ★★★★★ Excellent
Sound quality ★★★ Good
Buttons ★★★★ Push button type

It’s funny how when you’ve unboxed something that’s a great value, you don’t want to write about it when you meet another not-so-great product in the same category. However, since I have to review it, I can’t pretend that we don’t see the standard set by good stuff.
Realme Buds Q2 drawbacks:
1. the size is large, about 30 minutes to take off the rest, or it’s pretty uncomfortable
2. subtle tone (there is a tone deviation), too short echo
3. Volume cannot be adjusted from the headset

Realme Buds Q2 APP Software Features
Realme Buds Q2 vs Redmi Airdots 2 . The biggest difference is sound quality.
Realeme Buds Q2 is similar to Xiaomi Airdots but with major sound quality issues(incorrect sound). The sound quality is not necessarily a problem for people who don’t care sound quality. To me, I would rather throw it into the garbage can, so this article will briefly introduce the sound quality of Realme Buds Q2. For your reference. As for whether the Realme Buds Q2 is good or not, I personally give it a bad rating.
Balanced sound quality (Buds Q2 wins)
Realme Buds Q2 sound quality is stronger in terms of bass, slightly towards the U-shaped high setting on both sides, but compared to Xiaomi Airdots 2, the overall balance of the Q2 is better. If you are not a fan off bass and don’t care about SQ, Realme Buds Q2 can also be a choice for more balanced sound. The vocal part is acceptable at 75 points (better than the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots 2headphone).
Buds Q2 Bass is not elastic, treble has extension (Xiaomi Redmi Airdots 2 win)
Realme’s $50 Buds Air 2 Neo has great elastic bass. However Realme Buds Q2 does not have that( It’s a pity), but the treble extension is better than Xiaomi Bluetooth headset Airdots 2 (treble extension is too weak). The bass I relatively like Airdots 2 at least has rich volume characteristics.
The Realme Buds Q2 has a sound quality issue in the evaluation (Xiaomi Redmi Airdots 2 wins)
In the end, it was the sound deviation that decided the Xiaomi Bluetooth headset Airdots 2 to keep its title as the king of affordable Bluetooth headset. The main reason is that the sound continuity of the Realme Buds Q2 is too short, for example, the normal guitar plucking tone has a sound length like Deng uh-huh-huh-huh ~~~~, but the Q2 only has Deng uh-huh (Notice that ~~~~ is missing). Such design will cause the sound is not right, like the big drums become small drums, and the bombs shot out become dumb bombs.
Comment 1: sound performance can be bad, but the tone being not right is completely unacceptable. (Bad sound performance: such as the sound of each range is too small, too loud, too muddy, not elastic, not bright, the treble does not extend, etc.)
Comment 2: Sennheiser’s headphones are basically the right tone, what sound is what sound. If I want to pick a headphone for listening instrument, I personally only choose this brand.
Purchase recommendation: Buy Airdots 2 or Buds Q2
Since the price is the same to buy Xiaomi Bluetooth headphones Airdots 2 with better bass, and to buy Realme Buds Q2 with better voice balance and vocals, you don’t mind the sound quality issue. If you need cheap active noise cancellation, you can see more reviews of Realme Buds Air 2 neo below, which is also very recommended.
After the design of the headset fine tuning is basically almost fixed waveform, can be adjusted like a see-saw bass pulled up, the treble will be lower. Pull the middle high on both sides of the low (pull the middle will usually pull the results are very strange). Unless the speaker unit itself is very the balanced (expensive). otherwise almost headphones under $60 are pulling a single side so that the bass is full with no treble, or pulling the treble feel the vocal treble is very good bass is very empty. (Because this is simpler to adjust lol)
EQ setting: Basically, you can adjust EQ if you don’t like the sound performance, but I don’t like to do so. I enjoy listen to the original tuning of the headphone design, and I won’t have the feeling of adding MSG.
Thank you for watching the Realme Bud Q2 review unboxing, next time I will write about the official launch of Xiaomi Band 6 in Taiwan.
FAQ: Is Realme Buds Q2 waterproof?
Realme Bud Q2 is IPX4 Water proof. The official claim to prevent damage, you should avoid directly immersion in water. My suggestion is of course not to wash it or put it in water. The waterproof level is only water resistance.
FAQ: Realme buds q2 app function and operation
Realme buds Q2 app provide 3 music mode (heavy bass, Normal). The other app useful function is customized action for 1 click, 2 click, and hold. In sum, not many functions you can apply. The volume control is on your phone “not on app”.
FAQ: Realme Buds Q2 Charging time
Realme Buds Q2 Charging time is 10 mins for 1 hour use. The charging time requires 40 mins to fully charged. It’s pretty fast, but in daily use I recommend charge it from time to time. The single use time is around Four hours. Which means You have to charge it twice a day if you want to use it for 8 hours.
